About Botany Department

The Department of Botany Established in 1993. T.Y.B.Sc. Botany started in 2005.

A Result :- Every year 60% students obtained distinction in the final year of
T.Y.B.Sc. Maximum number of students pass with first class.

B Placement :- Every year 90% students go for post-graduation
e.g. M.Sc. in Botany / M.B.A. Biotech / M.Sc in Geoinformatics / M.Sc Bioinformatics / M.Sc Mass Communication / M.B.A. / M.C.A.

C Organization of Study Tour :- Field visits are arranged every year to polyhouse at agriculture college, Mushroom cultivation unit . Local visits to Botanical garden of University of Pune, and Japanes garden at Mr. P.L. Deshpande garden – Yokayama friendship garden, to teach students different types of garden. Forest visits areorganized to Bhimashankar / Mahabaleshwar / Amboli for study of plant diversity.
