Library Services and Facilities

Library is functioning smoothly with various library services along with basic library services as follows :

OPAC

OPAC is available on college computers through network. Students and staff are able to browse the library catalogue, to search the availability of book, to reserve the books, to renew the books from any terminal in the college network

Reference Services

Provides short and long range reference services on the collection consisting of Encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, almanacs,bibliographies, CDs, Magazines etc available in the library along with the online information available.

Information Service

Lists of additions to the holdings of Library are brought out once in a month. These lists are regularly supplied to the Principal and Heads of the Departments of the college and are also available with the Librarian.

Current Awareness Services

Like Newspaper clipping, Article displaying, new arrival list is circulated amongst staff and displayed in library notice board.

Inter Library Loan

Library resources are shared and exchanges amongst the libraries of our Society. We took Institutional membership of British Council Library, Jayakar Library for our readers.
 

Other Services /facilities

Book Exhibitions : Organizes the book exhibitions of Book Sellers and Publishers.

Guest Lectures : Arranging Inspiring and motivating lectures of eminent authors.

Library Newsletter : Started Newletter “GranthVedh” to bridge the gap between readers and library also to communicate new ways of information sources.

Book Bank Facility : More than 25 needy students avail this facility every year.

Book Review Club : For increasing reading habits amongst the students we have started the Book Review Club for the students.

Earn and Learn Scheme : Running Earn and Learn Scheme for needy  students.

Library orientation programme : for newly admitted students.

Competitive Exam Cell : We have started maintaining separate section for the students appearing competitive exams. Our many of the students already got higher position in Government and Private sector.

Best Reader Award : We have started from this year this award

Projects : Students are alloted small projects related to Library every year
